The Cultural Centre La Malagueta first opened on January 31st 2020, which makes it the most modern museum in Malaga. If you still don’t know where it is, look again… That’s right, the Plaza de Toros of La Malagueta is the branch of this cultural centre with a gallery of exhibitions.

This cultural centre continues the meteoric rise of Malaga as a city of museums. This space not only retrieves the historic building of the Plaza de Toros, but also opens its doors 365 days a year for Malaga residents and visitors to enjoy art, music, thought, literature… and, in general, any form of cultural expression.

This new museum in Malaga offers lasting exhibitions from October to June, in its two main rooms; temporary exhibitions, in its different exhibition spaces; and a wide variety of activities in the rest of the spaces of the building.   1. Centre Pompidou: International Art Exhibitions in Malaga

In 2015, this branch of the famous Parisian museum arrived on our shores. Malaga residents and visitors were able to experience the Centre Pompidou thanks to its rich collections, excellent programming and multidisciplinary proposals.

This artistic centre was a milestone for the city and the French branch since it is the first time this institution is implemented abroad. This commitment of the Pompidou Museum in Paris has been a success, as shown by its nearly 1,000,000 visitors.

Located in front of the sea, in the surroundings of Muelle 1, the Centre Pompidou stands out with its multicoloured cube by the French artist Daniel Buren.
